About This Session:
Nestled in the “Land of the Rose” are numerous castles and ruins that enchant visitors and locals alike. For this maternity session, we wandered through the estate of an ancient Abbey in Suffolk, England, its gardens encapsulating ruins of the original structure dating back 1000 years. A perfect setting for this Mama and capturing the beauty of her Motherhood in an enchanting, romantic, and serene setting.
This Mama chose to have her Maternity session with just herself, which I can appreciate. It was a moment to focus on herself, her journey, and the life she carries and allow a special moment for just the two of them knowing there will be plenty of future photo sessions where baby will be joined by 2 older siblings. She felt pampered with professional hair and makeup, and relished in the time to breathe it all in with me guiding her through the Gardens.
While there is still a chill at this time of the year in the Gardens, there are signs that Winter’s grip is yielding to the sun and little blooms. And while the Garden and its visitors wait in anticipation for all the beautiful flowers and colors, this Mama also waits for her baby and that is what inspires me most about this session.
Before the session day, I helped Mama look through my client wardrobe at her planning appointment. She chose a gorgeous Needle and Thread gown with a flowy design and feminine details as well as a Nothing Fits But dress for a more casual option. Both dresses are giving all the Cottage Core inspiration, which I love especially because of this location!
