MEET OUR FOUNDER

Adrianne Shelton

Adrianne is the original founder of The Kindred Path and a fine art family photographer based in Central Virginia. A lifelong lover of film, her passion began in childhood, helping her mother—a professional photographer—in the studio. In 2014, she began volunteering with a Christian mentorship program for teen mothers, offering portraits as a way to preserve their stories. By 2016, she launched Beatific Visions Photography, inspired by the theological idea of glimpsing divine beauty in everyday life. Adrianne now serves families across the Richmond area, drawing inspiration from deep connection and quiet moments. She lives with her husband and three children and also works full-time in healthcare.

MEET OUR CO-FOUNDER

Marie Tilkens

Marie is a Washington, D.C.-based photographer specializing in motherhood, family, and newborn imagery. Her journey began after the birth of her son, Perry, realizing how fleeting those early moments were. Inspired to preserve these memories for others, she documents the beauty of parenthood with a timeless, connection-focused style. Her sessions are organic and free of heavy staging, capturing real emotion and legacy-building moments for generations to come. Marie’s work reflects her belief that love lives in the details—the tiny toes, soft giggles, and quiet chaos of raising children. At home, she enjoys life with her witty husband Zach, their energetic son, and dreams of their next adventure.

MEET OUR EDITOR

Kayla Victor

Kayla is a digital and film photographer serving families and couples across Dallas, Texas. Her journey through photography became more intentional following a personal family loss, which reshaped her purpose and deepened her desire to document authentic, love-filled moments—especially within motherhood. Each session she captures is rooted in storytelling, connection, and meaning. In addition to her photography, Kayla is a skilled graphic designer with a thriving business in branding and logo design. She has recently expanded into offering luxury content and creative resources for fellow photographers, combining her eye for beauty with a heart for service. Kayla’s work blends emotion, artistry, and heartfelt legacy.

"The education sessions were full of practical advice and encouragement, and the styled sessions were stunning. I'd jump at the chance to attend again in the future!""

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

"Because of this workshop, I formed new friendships from all across the world, gained confidence from the educational talks to make changes to my business that I'd been hesitant to make, and was challenged to think creatively during styled-shoots to harness my unique voice and style. It was everything I expected and more!""

learn about our print-only publication for photographers

the magazine...

We’re honored to be the first—and only—print publication created exclusively for family photographers. As artists, we often encourage our clients to invest in tangible keepsakes, yet just a few years ago, there was no meaningful, physical resource for us. In a world of endless scrolling and digital overwhelm, Our magazine was born—a beautifully curated magazine designed to inspire, educate, and reconnect family photographers with the heart of their craft.
