About This Session:
It was a beautiful evening at the tail end of a southern Californian summer. The dry summer heat cooled slowly before sunset, and the crisp Pacific waters tickled our sandy feet. Melanie and Mike had recently moved back down to southern California after a long time away, along with their two kids, Cami and Jeremy. The transition was difficult for them, and it was important for Melanie to capture the beauty of the ocean and sweet candid moments of her family in their new "home," so that's what I set out to do. I am always inspired most by the love and playfulness that families share together. This family was sweet and full of smiles just being in each others' company.
