About This Session:
This family was an absolute joy to work with. You could tell everyone was so excited to have a little girl in the house, but especially their oldest son. Their boys were enamored with their baby sister!
During a quiet moment when little brother needed a snack break I looked over to see their oldest son just sweetly cuddling with his sister, completely unprompted. They are some of my favorite sibling images I've ever taken and just emphasize the value of documenting those in between moments.
Their master bedroom had beautiful light, with double doors that lead to their piazza. It was a perfect Fall day so we did most of the full family portraits there. Because there was so much natural light, I was able to shoot some film during the session too!
After the sibling and family portraits were complete, I finished my roll of film with some images of just Mom and baby. Mom and I talked about life with two boys and she was just so incredibly kind- I felt like I had known them for years. There were a few sweet (and quiet!) minutes where Mama was able to just soak in some along time with baby girl at the end of the session. I'm so thankful I was able to document those for her, it's truly such an honor.
