About This Session:
The most beautiful family met me on the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea just outside of Tel Aviv, Israel for their session. As we did not share a common language, we spent the first few minutes translating through charades and with a little assistance from our phones, but as a storm was brewing, I knew we would need to move quickly to avoid the inevitable downpour. I indicated that we should hurry, and that all I needed them to do was enjoy this time together with each other. Removing the option to help guide them with words let me document their story with true authenticity. Watching this little family laugh and love – the way their eyes and faces lit up when they looked at each other – the way their arms so naturally reached for each other – I felt so honored to have been invited to share the evening with them. Though the skies were dark and churning, these images capture the light and love that radiates from this sweet family.
