About This Session:
This cherry blossom spring family session was a joy to photograph. The DC cherry blossoms grace the Tidal Basin once a year, creating a magical landscape in the middle of the city. Planning a cherry blossom session can be tricky due to both the bloom and the weather forecast. The peak bloom is only released a few weeks beforehand and can easily change based on early spring weather. This darling family was preparing to move across country and wanted to document their time together in the capital city once more before leaving. Although we had to reschedule once due to peak bloom times changing, we were able to capture their family session at the heart of peak bloom on an early spring morning. It was such a privilege to document their remaining days in the city at one of the most beautiful times of the year.
